Andrew Dickerson has a logical, common sense approach to legal issues. His experience on a wide range of legal matters allows for a well-rounded approach to meeting the needs of clients.
He is a member of the Hamilton County Bar Association.
Andrew joined Holt Legal Group in 2017, which has allowed him to practice a wide variety of cases, examples of which are listed below:
- Civil law: contracts, landlord-tenant, personal injury, small claims
- Criminal law: defense, expungements
- Family law: adoptions, child support, divorces, parenting time
- Miscellaneous: Social Security disability
Andrew was born in Madison, Indiana in 1982; and grew up in Noblesville; Fishers; Rochester, New York; and Traverse City, Michigan.
Andrew was raised in a family that emphasized language, writing, healthy debate, and public service. Andrew’s father, John Dickerson, worked as an attorney in Hamilton County and Marion County, Indiana; in addition to his prior work as a legislative draftsman for the state of Indiana. Andrew’s grandfather, Reed Dickerson, was an attorney who received a Civilian Service Award from President Eisenhower for his leadership in unifying and codifying military laws. He was best known for his work in the areas of statutory interpretation and legal drafting
Andrew continued his family’s legacy of public service by working in the Indiana Senate Attorney’s Office for the 2010 and 2011 legislative sessions. This experience provided him the opportunity to interact with a variety of legislators from around the state of Indiana, conduct legal research, as well as draft honorary resolutions.
Andrew’s education included studying at the University of Oxford in the summer of 2004. He graduated from Hillsdale College in 2005 with a B.A. in Political Economy. He graduated from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2009, passing the bar and earning his Indiana law license that same year. He also earned a Master’s in Sports Administration at Valparaiso University.
Andrew worked in the in-house legal department for Aurora Bank FSB, primarily dealing with the legal issues surrounding the foreclosure-related consent order with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).
Andrew worked for Liberty Mutual from 2013 to 2017, dealing primarily with personal injury and worker’s compensation cases.
Andrew lives on the north side of Indianapolis with his wife and Basenji.
